A recent hike on the Chester and Becket Railroad in Chester lead to this very unusual find of what is believed to be a cistern used to collect water. Using lidar mapping, this anomaly in the landscape made us curious as to what we thought might be a cellar hole. The pit is very large and stone laid with some concrete reinforcing still evident. Why and who is still the question.
