360 cam photos from the summit of Todd Mountain. With 1,030 feet of elevation gain, Todd Mountain in the Mohawk Trail State Forest is a tough climb, in our case we went in and back and across the ridge following the Mohawk Mahican Trail, just like the Native Americans did before the Colonial settlements. Led by DCR Ranger Christian Drake, we learned about the forest on our way, at the ridge there is an intersection where the Mohawk Trail continues to Clark Mountain, we headed to the summit of Todd Mountain at 1,594 feet for a grand summit and then another just a half mile further. We started this hike from the Deerfield River on the Elder Grove Trail at River Road just after Zoar Picnic Area in the village of Zoar in Florida hiking into Charlemont.

Saturday’s flash hike took us to Franklin County and the Northernmost hilltowns of Florida, Monroe and Charlemont on the infamous Mohawk Mahican Trail to explore the Deerfield River area.
