We started our first leg of a snowshoe across Lenox Mountain to the Yokun Seat from parking at the end of Osceola Road in Richmond to the Lenox Lookout. Total miles in and back was approx. 4.5 miles on the High Road Trail. Back in the day this trail was a local mountain bike route and now the High Road is a ridge trail that connects Kirapalu with Bousquet. Starting from Osceola the trail follows the Richmond Tower access road and the rises steeply along the ridge to the Lenox Lookout. Views are outstanding at Lenox lookout to the West of the Taconics and Richmond Pond. Walking around the tower, views open up to Catamount Ski and the three corners of the State including Bear Mountain. Berkshire Natural Resources Council
