Bridge 2 the Gator Arch, not on the trail, abandoned and at risk. It has no chance of restoration due to its ownership by CSX AND the new rail was built abutting it! It is 55 feet tall and the ring stones have unique pointed tips, hence “gator” notice J.D. initials carved in the top ring stone. Some contributed photos by Tom Hoffman.
An exceptional day at the Historic Keystone Arch Bridges Trail Group Hike in Chester, narrated by Mr. Dave Pierce of the Chester Railway Museum! Thank you to ALL who came out today to discover the natural beauty and history in the Hilltowns!
