On a remote section of Milo Coe Road near the Massachusetts state line and Granville State Forest stands this monument. Erected by the classmamates of Milo B. Coe, an 11 year old boy who died near by in an accident in 1854. “Milo B., son of Harlow and Mary Coe, died October 18, 1854, agc 11 years.

“He was found dead in front of this monument supposed to have fallen from a cart in which he was riding and instantly killed.”
