May 11th we ventured to Otis. At Royal Pond on the Otis/Monterey town line is Bob’s Way trailhead. The trail was starting to show signs of spring, a few trillium along the way however the beaver work was impressive! We completed the entire outer loop and spent some time at the wetlands enjoying the enormous beaver dam at the swamp. This hike was my most enjoyable so far this season due to the happy and enthusiastic hikers who participated, must of been the first non-rainy day weather!
