Survived the 1927 Becket Flood! The Higley Apothecary 1857 is along the railroad tracks on Pleasant Street, it was a local drugstore from 1870 to 1927. It also contained an apartment and a barber shop. After the flood Patrick Tobin one of Ballou’s best basket makers worked out of this building. Pleasant Street is also the original Pontoosuc Turnpike!
